Who Is Nayeb Ghodrat?

Know a little about Me

Hello and welcome!

My name is Nayeb Ghodrat, and I am a scholar and educator with a deep passion for language, literature, and cross-cultural understanding. I hold bachelor’s degrees in both Persian Language and Literature (1997) and English Language and Literature (2011) from Peyam Noor University in Iran. In 2013, I completed a Master’s degree in Linguistics with a specialization in Teaching Persian to Non-Persians at Imam Reza University. Most recently, I earned my doctorate in English Language and Literature from Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University in 2023.

Over the years, I’ve explored the rich intersections of Persian and Western literary traditions, with a particular focus on the legacy of Omar Khayyam. My academic works include Islam in the World: Before and After 11 September 2001 (a translation from Turkish into Persian), Pause and Ponder: Quatrains, Analyses and Literary Devices, and my doctoral dissertation Omar Khayyam: A Shattered Truth, which investigates his influence on Western literature and culture. I have also published scholarly articles and presented in several academic seminars, including on topics such as the varied interpretations of Khayyam’s quatrains and representations of life and death in his poetry.
